This  auction is for a whistle stamped with The Acme Thunderer It is also stamped with Patent 213487/24,  Made In England, and has a stamp on the side with the following, REACH Trade Mark--The Sign Of Quality.  There is the letters P W on the top under the name and someone told me this may stand for Permanent Way, that has something to do with a Railroad. The also thought the P W may stand for  the Providence & Worcester Railway, but I don't know.  Winning bidder pays 3.85 S&H. Thanks for looking.
