Handcrafted Multi-Color Oval Rug Made from 1" Squares of Double Knit Material

the rug measures approximately 19 1/2" x 15 1/2".
this rug was made by my mother about 40 + years ago, I can't imagine cutting out all those double knit 1 inch squares and folding in half and sewing and assembling to the rug backing. It really had to be time consuming.  This is the smallest one she made plus I have much more of her work in larger rugs.  My mother is now 101 and in a memory care unit here in South Dakota.
She never used this as a rug, but instead she used it to display different items in her home.
Double Knit material from the 70's seems to never wear out !
